Any such grant of a passage home will preclude any
further grant in respect of a passage to or from the Colony
for the same member of the family until the officer himself
shall have proceeded on leave.
(5) On the return to the Colony of a member of an
officer's family who has either gone home in advance or
returned after him, adjustment will be made so that the coat
to Government will not exceed the amount which would have
been payable under these rules had the person concerned
both accompanied the officer on leave and returned with

(10) If an officer makes private arrangements for
passages for himself or any member of his family he will,
upon production of passage tickets, be granted a sum
equivalent to the cost to Government of such passages AN he may be entitled to, or the actual cost of the passages taken, whichever su is less; provided that where passages

case be made in excess of the cost to Government of return
passages by the usual route at the time of the officer's
